The Amazon Kindle Fire (now know as Amazon Fire) remains an incredible deal. Paired with an Amazon Prime subscription, it’s the perfect companion for streaming movies and TV shows while on the go. What speaks against the Kindle Fire, however, is the lack of apps and aggressive Amazon ads on the lock screen.
But we’ll show you how to install Google Play and remove adsWhy Targeted Ads Are a Serious Threat to Your PrivacyWhy Targeted Ads Are a Serious Threat to Your PrivacyHeard about targeted advertising but not so bothered about them? Here's why targeted ads are dangerous and bad for your privacy.Read More from your Kindle Fire without rooting the device for free—and with no computer needed, either!
This guide demonstrates how to install the Google Play Store on a 5th generation Kindle Fire 7″ (Fire OS version 5.3.6.4, from November 2018) and remove the lock screen ads, all without rooting. You also won’t need a Windows PC.
If these methods didn’t work for you, check the comments for help with other Kindle Fire or Fire OS versions.
To Root or Not to Root?
While Amazon preps the Fire with its own Appstore, several Google apps (including Gmail) are not available on Amazon’s market. For some, that’s a deal breaker and a reason to prefer Google Play over the AppstoreGoogle Play vs. Amazon Appstore: Which Is Better?Google Play vs. Amazon Appstore: Which Is Better? The Google Play Store isn't your only option when it comes to downloading apps -- should you give the Amazon Appstore a try?Read More.
While rooting the Amazon Fire tablet allows you to install a standard Android version and thus the Google Play Store, doing so loses the interface optimized for consuming Amazon Prime content. More importantly, rooting can void your warranty and—in the worst case—brick your device.
Fire OS, the operating system running on the Amazon Fire, is a custom version of Android. Thus, it only takes a few tweaks to install the Google Play Store and remove lock screen ads--no root access required.
When you’re done, your lock screen will resemble the screenshot below; this looks so much better than a screen covered in Amazon ads!
How to Install Google Play on Amazon Kindle Fire
We’ll first show you how to get Google Play onto your Kindle Fire with no Windows computer needed. If for any reason that doesn’t work, scroll down for an alternative method.
Have you added an SD card to your Fire tablet? Before you start, disable app installations to your SD card under Settings > Storage > SD Card. While this wasn’t a problem on my unit (the apps didn’t install onto the SD card, even though the option was enabled), it’s a known reason for the installation process to fail.
1. Download APK Files
Before you download the files, be sure to permit the installation of third-party apps. Go to Settings > Security and enable Apps from Unknown Sources.
Now download the following APKs on your Kindle Fire:
- Google Account Manager (April 11, 2016)
- Google Services Framework (April 4, 2016)
- Google Play Services (February 7, 2019)
- Google Play Store (February 21, 2019)
Note: These APKs will work for Android 5.1+. They should be upward compatible. You can check the Android version on your Kindle Fire under Settings > Device Options > System Updates. If you’re running Android 6 or 7, you can scroll through the more recent versions of the respective APK and download the latest one for your Fire OS.
To download the APK files, open each link, scroll down, and tap the Download APK button. Before the download starts, a popup will warn you that the file can harm your device. Press OK to confirm that you want to download it anyway.
2. Install the Google Play Store APK Files
Once the downloads have completed, head to your home screen. Then open Docs > Local Storage > Download.
Here, tap to install each file in the following order (identical to the download order above):
- com.google.android.gsf.login
- com.google.android.gsf
- com.google.android.gms
- com.android.vending
You’ll have to scroll through the privacy and device access notes to turn the Next option in the bottom-right to Install.
3. Set Up the Google Play Store
With the installation of all four files completed, you should see the Google Play Store app on your home screen. Tap it to start the setup process. You may see a spinning circle for a few minutes while the apps run updates in the background.
Next, you should see a “checking info” screen. When the app finally lets you sign in with your Google account, you’re almost set.
Once you’ve logged in successfully, you can download apps to your heart’s desire, including other Google apps like Chrome and Gmail.
How to Remove Ads From Amazon Kindle Fire
We’ll cover three different methods. Try them in the order listed.
1. Remove Ads From Your Kindle Fire for Free With a Tool
This is the most elegant method for removing ads for free, but it requires a Windows PC and some fiddling. You’ll also have to enable developer mode and ADB on your Kindle. Scroll down to the “How to Install Google Play on Your Kindle Fire From a PC” section and complete the first step to enable ADB and (if needed) step two to install Google ADB drivers.
Once you’ve enabled ADB and your Amazon Fire shows up under My PC when connected (if not, install Google ADB drivers as below), download RootJunkie’s Amazon Ad Remover Tool. Unpack the ZIP archive, run the Run Me To Remove Ads.bat, and follow the onscreen instructions.
When I tried this method, the tool claimed it had successfully removed ads. When I rebooted, however, ads were still there. Running the tool and rebooting again didn’t change that. So I tried the next method.
2. Ask Amazon to Remove Ads From Your Kindle (for Free)
Before you use this method, check whether or not you see the Special Offers option, as described under the third point below, for your Fire. If not, you’re basically forced to contact customer service. As a result, they might be more willing to help you.
Find your local Amazon Fire support form or hotline. For the U.S., it’s (206) 922-0880, but they will also call you back if you’re in the US and use this support form. Log into your account, switch to Devices, choose your Fire, and under Tell us more, select General question about the device/accessory > Special Offers/Ads as a screensaver on device.
This will bring up instructions to remove them yourself. You can check it out, but skip to talking to a real person. You can choose phone or chat; I went with a phone call. The agent asked for my email address and mailing address to confirm this was my account.
Here are some talking points, some of which worked for me:
- When the agent mentioned the price to remove the lock screen ads ($15) I said that was a steep price, considering the device was five years old.
- When she replied that she didn’t have another option, I argued that I had seen reports online where Amazon customer service had removed ads for free as a courtesy.
- When she said they used to remove the ads for free, but were not allowed to anymore, I repeated that this was disappointing, given the age of the device.
- If you can’t use the age of your device as an argument, but are a current Amazon Prime subscriber (and maybe have been for years), I’d use that as an argument instead.
- You could also mention that you don’t see the Special Offers option and were forced to call them.
In my case, she excused herself, saying she wanted to check something. When she came back, she had good news. She was able to remove the ads, but repeated several times that it was just this one time only, as a courtesy.
Note: I don’t know whether this actually made a difference, but when asked whether I would permit recording of the call for quality assurance, I chose not to. So in theory, there was no record of my conversation with the customer service agent, meaning they might have been slightly more willing to go off protocol and help me out.
3. Pay Amazon to Remove Ads From Kindle
I hope you’re not that desperate to remove the annoying lock screen ads from your Amazon Fire, but this is your final option. Log into your Amazon account, then open the Account & Lists menu and click Your Content and Devices.
Switch to the Devices tab and expand the Actions menu for your Kindle Fire. Here you might see an option called Special Offers. Click Edit next to this option and proceed to pay to remove the ads. This requires that you have set up 1-click payment.
How to Install Google Play on Amazon Fire From PC
If the first method for installing Google Play on your Amazon Fire tablet didn’t work, you can try this alternative. We’ll use a tool from RootJunkie that also lets you remove the lock screen ads from your Kindle Fire.
1. Enable Developer Options and ADB
Before we start, you have to enable developer options on your Fire. Go to Settings > Device Options and scroll down to Serial Number. Then tap the serial number entry seven to 10 times, until Developer Options shows up underneath.
Now open Developer Options and under Debugging turn on Enable ADB.
2. Install ADB USB Driver (optional)
On Windows 10, you should be able to connect your Kindle Fire and see it pop up under This PC. Windows should automatically recognize the device and install the required drivers.
If the device doesn’t show up, you’ll need to manually install the Google USB driver so you can perform ADB (Android Debug Bridge) debugging on Windows. You can download the drivers manually, or you can use RootJunky’s Amazon Fire 5th Gen SuperTool.
Before you proceed:
- Disable driver signature enforcement on Windows 8 and 10 (instructions below).
- Completely turn off (check Task Manager!) any emulators running on your system, such as the BlueStacks Android app player.
How to Turn Off Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows 10 and 8
To successfully follow the instructions above, Windows 8 and Windows 10 users will need to turn off the enforced driver signature.
Windows 8: Press the keyboard shortcut Windows key + C to open the Charms menu, then go to Settings > More PC Settings > General. After this, the steps are identical to Windows 10.
Windows 10: Press the keyboard shortcut Windows key + I to open the Settings menu, then go to Update and Security > Recovery.
Under Advanced Startup, click Restart Now.
Hacked Games Apk Ios
On the reboot screen, choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
You’ll find yourself on the Startup Settings screen. Here, choose option seven: Disabled driver signature enforcement.
After your computer reboots, you’ll be able to install drivers that weren’t signed digitally. Once you restart again, the driver signature enforcement will enable once more.
Steps to Install the ADB USB Driver
Meanwhile, you should have downloaded and unzipped RootJunky’s SuperTool. Now it’s time to connect your Fire to your computer. At this point, you might see a popup regarding ADB debugging mode. Confirm it and proceed, then make sure the Fire shows up under This PC.
Next, launch the first batch file in the SuperTool folder: 1-Amazon-Fire-5h-gen.bat
If everything works, you should see the following screen on your desktop.
To install the ADB driver, press 1 and hit Enter. You will see a second screen with two options:
Again, press 1 and hit Enter. Another screen will remind you which the conditions you must meet before you can proceed.
Press any key to continue and follow the instructions on screen. At this point, you’ll have to do a few steps manually.
The Windows Device Manager will open automatically. Find the Fire under Universal Serial Bus devices, then right-click it and select Update Driver Software. From here, choose Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer > Have Disk and browse to the usb_drivers folder that came with the SuperTool. Select the android_winusb.inf file and click Open, followed by OK.
If you encounter an error message at this point, chances are you didn’t disable the driver signature enforcement in Windows 8 or 10 (see above).
You might also see the following error:
“The folder you specified doesn’t contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.”
In that case, you can try to use the universal ADB Driver Installer and skip this step, or download the driver from Android Studio and point the Device Manager to that resource.
Once you succeed, return to SuperTool and press any key to continue, followed by Enter to return to the initial SuperTool menu. Now you’re ready to tweak Fire OS.
All the steps we’ve just gone over are demonstrated in the video below, in case you need more guidance.
3. Install the Google Play Store and Remove Lock Screen Ads
If you don’t already have it open, launch the 1-Amazon-Fire-5h-gen.bat SuperTool. To install the Google Play Store and remove lock screen ads, press 2 and hit Enter, followed by any key to confirm the conditions. If all goes well, SuperTool will go through four installation stages.
If you run into an emulator-related error at this point, open the Windows Task Manager and make sure all emulators (hint: BlueStacks) are completely turned off.

I have a a Fire 8HD 7th generation. will this work for it or do I need to do something different?
Reading the article gave some great info. I decided to try getting Amazon to remove them first and started a chat session. Was first told it would cost $20 to stop the subscription, I asked if it could be waived. I was asked to hold briefly while they 'spoke to a supervisor' and to verify I was a Golden Prime Member (first time I've heard that). They came back and said they had removed the sub and I just needed to sync the device, which I did and ads are gone. Suggest trying this first. I assume it won't work for everyone but I was in chat for about 2 minutes.
Articles like this are read by people who are looking for instructions, 99.99999% of which are NOT developers! I was unable to use any of these fixes to to the incomplete and/or technical directions here. Shame on you!
Downloaded the files from 'RootJunky’s Amazon Fire 5th Gen SuperTool.' The ad removal tool contains 2 copies of a trojan: Security risk detected: Trojan.Gen.2
Held in:
appscom.kingroot.kinguser_v5.0.0-161.apk
appsKingroot.apkIt worked for me, thanks !
Just wondering what will happen at the next update ? Will the update overwrite these settings, so I have to run the same procedure once more ?..on a 2017 fire hd8..I've tried a few methods. one hides the ..kindle.kso, another uninstalls. Both work..temporarily. after a reboot ads are gone. After a short while they return
This happened to me too. I have a Kindle Fire 6 4th generation.
This is useless I thought that I could do it just using the kindle but then u told me I had to have a compute
R and do some weird stuffWhen I browse the USB driver, windows says ,' Windows couldn't find driver software for your device.' I have redirected to the USB driver folder.but still it keeps saying the same thing..Please find a solution for this.
Thanks, just made my fire HD7 more useful than I thought it would be when I bought it.
I used this guide just for Google Play, works like a charm
https://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/general/how-to-install-google-play-store-fire-t3486603Many thanks Ashley, this link is perfect for getting Chromecast and Google play store to work on kindle Fire.
If you only care about getting rid of the lockscreen ads then starting a chat and requesting the ads be removed is the quickest and safest way to get this done. No 3rd party downloads or complicated procedures are required, it was literally 1 minute from start to finish. If you do this via root and an update is pushed you will lose root and possibly all the changes you've made.
The rep I spoke with said 'Amazon charges $15-20 for this but I will do as a courtesy for free today'. Whatever..it was free..took 1 minute and the guy was very pleasant.
That takes care of the ads, now if you absolutely have to have all the Google apps on your Fire tablet then you'll have to do the rest of the stuff in this article.
what method should I use on a FIRE HD10, i do not want to root it,I Will even pay to have it done for me!
THANKS!!you are wrong
installing google store and removing ads need rootNo it doesn't.
Shush.
FYI, you're annoying.
the lock screen removal didn't work but I have google play!
for removing the ads:
Confirmed that the directions for contacting amazon support does work still. they say the surcharge is $20 now normally, but since I'm a loyal customer they are waving the feeThere is a much simpler way if you have another android device.
Download the app shareit on your Fire device and your regular android device. Then use shareit to send any app (or any files) from the android device to your Fire, and install the app you sent.
If you don't have another android device, you can run android on your PC using LeapDroid or another android emulator.
Will these instructions work for the newest 6th Generation of the Amazon Fire HD 8, 2016?
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I am getting the error message 'The folder you specified doesn’t contain a compatible software driver for your device..' so I tried the other 2 methods. The automatic method (ADB driver installer) states that I already have a driver installed and the other method gives me 'the folder you specified..' error message. I don't know what driver it already thinks I have installed (I'm an accountant!!) and I'm not sure what to do next. I've deleted what I downloaded and restarted but that hasn't worked. Do you have an idea of what I can try next?
I've watched the video following along the article and did he just say 'root your device'? I do not want to brick my fire.
Reading some comments makes me question if its safe.
Seeing the video and following the article, did he just say rooting? I do not want to brick my fire just like with a 3ds.
I've noticed some experiencing issues so do not know if this is safe.
Hi, I followed the instructions and everything worked perfectly, thanks!. However, now my Fire screen won't rotate anymore, it's stuck on landscape mode. When I swipe down from the top of the screen, it says that it's unlocked, but it's not. Is there some way to fix this?
Hey there, I went through the process as directed. It worked like a dream. I am having a couple of problem which all forums aren't shedding any light on. I plan on using my new 7' Fire tab for watching videos. Netflix, HBO GO, Vudu & my CBS app all work perfectly, however hulu falls short. It loads the initial logo page then shows the login page (for less than a second) before closing and sending me back to my home screen. Beggers can't be choosers but it's definitely a bummer.
And one smaller issue is that I'm not able to move any widgets to my home screen. It does bring the widget to the home screen but doesn't retain the icon shortcut once I let go.
Thoughts? Thanks
Ok, I tinkered a bit with the Hulu issue and if anyone has the same problem, then uninstall the app from Google Play and redownload the same app from the Amazon app shop. It should work fine.
I still haven't figured out the widget situation (as I described above), however, I'm not too concerned.
Thanks
I tried this now my fire is frozen in the 'Fastboot mode' and I can't reboot it
Great article! I would love to get the google play store but I don't know if getting rid of advertisements is illegal and against the terms of service. I would love to get the play store, but I don't want to hurt Amazon. Any ideas?
Wasted an whole morning trying to reboot my Amazon fire version:5.3.2.0, downloaded King Root a couple of times, couldn't find root. Couldn't do Option 7. Option 2 install Play Store ok.
Luckily Amazon Fire still working.I managed to get rid of the adverts by complaining to amazon, stating that I can get rid of the adverts myself with 3 lines of code, and that I think it unfair and offensive to try and chage £10 to unsubscribe to them.
They responded by making a 'One off exception' and unsubscribing me from the adverts
Tried the prices several times, and the batch file goes to a black screen when I choose to install the Google Play store. Nothing happens beyond that.
Unlock your Fire, you'll have a prompt on the screen to allow debugging from your PC. Pick yes.
Hi, i tried this and i am trying to install on the os 5.3.1, i opened the super tool and everything functions correctly, except it doesnt install anything, and it says 'the system cannot find the path specified
THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!
I really appreciate you putting this together for us.
I did this on my Fire HD 6 (4th Generation), and it was as smooth as butter!
One thing that was a little weird was that the driver was already installed somehow. Not sure how it happened, but I got the error: 'The folder you specified doesn’t contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.' I downloaded the ADB Driver Installer and it said the driver was already installed.
I can't wait to get more of the good apps that Amazon does not feel like including in their crummy app store.
Thanks again to all of those who were involved in the making of this article!I cannot seem to find folder for HDX OS 4.5 under rootjunky link. Does this method works for HDX?..
I recently had to uninstall Google Play Store. Bad idea. I am unable to open it. Any ideas how to fix this?
These instructions mention only WIN 8 and 10 for loading Playstore on the Fire. But can I also use WIN 7?
Awesome job!!!! Worked perfectly on my Fire HD 8'. Couldn't get rid of the screensaver ad though. But no big deal, I have the play store at my disposal. Thanks for the life saving post,Tina!I owe you big time!
to get rid of the screensaver ad you have to go to
Settings> Display> Wallpaperif thats what you meant.
Just tried this with the brand new Fire HD 8 and it worked perfectly (at least so far!). It did not say 'fire' under USB devices in device manager, (forget what it say, maybe MTP?), but i choose that and it worked fine. I did have to use the ABDdriverinstaller.exe from your link, instead of install drivers from the supertool usb folder.
Hi Tine - thank you for this terrific article, clear instructions, and keeping up on the questions and feedback!!
I'll be getting the new Fire HD 8' tablet tomorrow when they're released. Do you know of any reason these instructions wouldn't carry over to the new device? From what I can tell the OS is the same, just new plastic around it (-:
This will be my first tablet, and installing Google Play will be my first action.
Thank you again for these instructions.Hi Tina (sorry 'bout the typo last time)
I just got mine and now, less than 10 minutes later, I also have the Play Store Icon.
As Jerrod said, in the Device Manager, it does list as MTP. And the .bat file in the zip file that was linked is now called '1-install-Play-Store.bat' not '1-Amazon-Fire-5h-gen.bat'.
But, if two of us can figure it out, I'm sure so can everyone else (-:
Thanks again for these awesome instructions!
Oh - and the ads are still on the lock screen. Just an FYI - it doesn't bother me and having Google Play was the whole point.
Installed Google Play successfully but was unable to install apps from it, even once I set the device to allow apps from unknown sources 'error: insufficient storage on device, even though this was not the case). Someone else mentioned an alternative app store through which they were able to download Googly Play, but unfortunately it seems to have been removed from the Amazon store. However, I did find an app called Easy Installer that allows you to download the apk files of apps, move them to the Fire, and install them directly. Used it to install Instagram with no issues.
Strangely, I am now able to install apps through Google Play. No clue why. I just attempted earlier today right after installing Easy Installer and it was still giving me the same error message I'd had a dozen times. *shrug* Far be it from me to question the good deeds of the Kindle gods! I'll be keeping Easy Installer just in case..THANK YOU
THANK YOU
THANK YOU
Had same experience as Matt and couldn't install the ADB thingy.. went back to start and selected 2 and it did it in seconds.
Thank you all so much for your help.Does my PC have to be 64bit as I have it 32bit?
Thank you so much! This has helped me to turn two frustrating and fairly useless Fires (7' 2015, not HD, kids ad-free version) into tablets that can be used for a wide variety of functions via Google PlayStore apps, including Chrome browser, non-Kindle ebook readers, and millions of good apps not available in Amazon AppStore. This is a great workaround to get past the many functional limitations in the off-the-shelf version.
I did need to use the ADB Driver Installer, as the android_winusb.inf file in the SuperTool doesn't appear to be the right file type. A small suggestion: Put the 'turn off driver signature enforcement' instructions at the beginning, so all the 'get your devices ready' info can be addressed before starting the install process.
Thanks again!
Absolutely brilliant! worked perfectly once I went the ADB installer route. thanks a million

didn't work at all. the 4 apps said they'd installed successfully, i rebooted, no Google Play. locked, got averts. tried to install again, everything failed saying the things were already installed. rebooted again, same thing - no goog, lock adverts.
mine says the system cannot find the path specified??
I went through the installation process as instructed and did not appear to encounter any errors, however I am unable to find the google play app on my Fire. Any suggestions on where or what I am looking for?
To remove the adds, just try the following:
Fire OS 5.0.x:
Code:
adb shell
pm hide com.amazon.kindle.kso
exit
adb rebootFire OS 5.1.x+
Code:
adb shell
pm clear com.amazon.kindle.kso
pm hide com.amazon.kindle.kso
exit
adb rebootThis worked for me. Thanks!
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to include links, so for those interested, go to the XDA forums and search for and download the 'minimal adb and fastboot' tool, launch it, then connect your tablet via usb.
You can enter the command 'adb devices' to make sure it's connected, then you can perform the commands above.
Worked for me!
Fire OS 5.3.1.0
followed the method for 5.1.x
does anyone else get a 'Error retrieving information from server. [RH-01]' message when running the google play store once logged in? I have tried emptying cache, emptying data, restarting each time, but still get this message. Ads are gone though :)
Thank you, I am oh so happy to be able to get to Google Play store from my kindle. Best of both worlds. As per previous comments, the ads removal did not work for me but I do not mind as much as being able to use all the apps I want.
Same as others, I thought it was not working until I updated Google Services and then had to reboot a few times in between updates, signing in, etc.. but all absolutely fine now.Worked great for me, although the order is a little confusing. I would've preferred having the Windows driver signature enforcement section in its natural place in the instructions, instead of at the bottom. I already did not have the ads on there (paid Amazon an extra $15 as an option for the tablet), but the Play Store is there and seems to work just fine. Thanks for the help!
My internet modem is affected by misfortune cookie, I dont know how did that happen (maybe because I am using WEP encryption on my router) now I will have to figure out how to update my modem and get the hacker out, it feels weird when your all http traffic is visible to some unknown hacker.
Does this void my warranty because on the website for the suprtool it says that this will root your device, but on this website it says it doesn't?
does this work on an hd 10?
it worked for me
It worked and the ads were gone, I went back to developer settings to disable adb and now the ads are back. How do I get rid of them? I enabled the adb back but the ads are still there
My tablet is opening these weird websites showing that my tablet has a virus when I try to open websites in Google chrome, does it have to anyhting to do with installing Playstore? Does anybody has an issue with random pop-ups when they open a web browser.
I was able to get the Play Store installed (ads still appear, but not a big issue). I have a kids profile set up for my son. When I go to select apps to allow my son's profile to use, the ones downloaded from the Play Store don't appear in the list of options; only the Amazon apps do. Any idea how to get the Play Store apps transferred to the kid profile?
This is great, thanks! I was able to go through the SuperTool process and I'm on 5.1.4. However, once the Play Store was installed, first thing I downloaded was Chrome, and it had trouble logging into my account. Turns out I needed to update the Google Play Service through the Play Store. Once I did that, it's all good!
my fire has 5.1.4 will this till work?? ive tried several times but it isn't finding the ADB when i use rootjunkies .bat file. i have the debugging on but i never get a conformation message either. please help.
I just did get google play on my fire 7 5.1.4 sort of blundered through something. I never could get the drivers to install. So I installed the google play any way and there it is on my front screen... good luck.
All ok. Thanks.
I want block OTA Amazon..its ok or can i have some trouble after? So I have installed the play store and added one google account. Is there a way to add multiple google accounts? On a normal android os you can just go to settings and add accounts. Since the Fire does not have this option I don't see a way to add more than one account. If you can't add more than one account can you remove the first account to add a different one?
My Fire HD 8 is running OS 5.3.1.0. Can I still do this ?
Mine was running OS 5.3.1.0 too. Play Store installed just fine.
Nice one Brandon. What process did you use ? The one suggested by MakeUseOf or the one I was told of in the above comment from Tina ?
Thanks Ian. I used the guide suggested by MakeUseOf. Worked fine!
Thanks everyone for the help. Google Play now installed with one problem. My Facebook app has vanished and I can't re-install it, either through Google Play or Amazon App store. It downloads but fails to install. Any suggestions ?
Does this still allow me to keep and install apps from the amazon app store?
Google Play Store would NOT allow me to sign in, even using workarounds mentioned here. Using Aptoide, I installed Google Play SERVICES (not to be confused with the store), and that app DID allow me to sign in, even taking me directly to the Play Store after it was done. Thought this might be helpful to others!
KingRoot fails every time on mine. Even tried using the newer version instead.
Can this be done with Windows 7?
Will this method work with a kindle fire hdx?
Oh, never mind. I'm an idiot. I hadn't clicked 'Okay' on the debugging screen on the Kindle. Once I did that, the install began on the computer. :-)
I just purchased this Fire table cheap on amazon during the recent prime sale. It is 16g and running Fire OS 5.1.3. I was able to install the Google Play but removing the ads did not work for me. No biggie, the frustrating part is while i AM able to install the free apps my paid apps will not install. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for the great tutorial too!
Hi Tina, yes i rebooted and no it gave no error message just would not process after clicking install, BUT i have, since typing that, rebooted the device 6 more times and tada!! now it let me install them. Go figure. Thanks again!
I chatted to an Amazon representative and told them that I wanted to remove the ads. I told her that they were very intrusive and my kids kept nagging me about them because they didn't understand what they were. The representative removed the ads for me for free. I'm not sure if it's because I am Prime or what, but they are gone .. Yippee!
I just did this. I am a total noob. I got the 'The folder you specified doesn’t contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.' error. At that point, I tried to download the driver directly using the ADB Driver Installer, and it told me the driver was already installed. At that point, I went back to the beginning, and chose option 2, and it worked perfectly. I do still have ads on the lock screen, which doesn't concern me. But I have Google Play now, and it works perfectly.
I don't seem to be able to locate my Fire in the Device Manager no matter how many times I try and have tried different USB sockets / cables. What am I missing?? (Sorry not to be more technical but this is completely out of my comfort zone, just want to install Google Play so I can install Clash of Clans for my son on our Amazon Fire!!)
I'm using Windows 10. I found mine under the folder labeled Portable Devices.
Target: 4th Gen HD 7 running 5.1.2. Loading the USB drivers didn't work for me on Windows 10. (Even after disabling driver signing.) When it failed on Windows 7, I started to look for a different solution. Apparently, the Google USB driver is not compatible with my 4th gen HD 7. I found a Kindle driver on the Amazon Developer site, and then discovered that the same file is located in the SuperTool usb_tool folder. (At least it's the same byte count and creation date. I didn't calc the MD5 sum on the two.) The file is KindleDrivers.exe. I just attached my HD 7 to my PC, waited for the driver install to finish with an error, and then ran KindleDrivers.exe. After a reboot of my PC, I ran the 1-Amazon-Fire-5h-gen.bat file. You don't need to install the ADB Driver, that's what KindleDrivers.exe did, but you can test the drivers with the SuperTool I downloaded. (The SuperTool I downloaded was slightly different for the instructions above.) Select 1, and then 3 to test the driver. If a device shows up in the test, the driver is working. If the listing says 'unauthorized', you haven't hit the confirmation screen on your tablet yet. If SuperTool tries to test FastBoot, just kill the program and start it again.
After that, the installation of Google Play went flawlessly. Rebooted, signed in, installed the PixPro software for my Kodak SL10. It even got rid of the screen ads, even though SuperTool had this as a seperate option (8) and said 'Root Required'.
Thanks for the instructions! Thanks for this tutorial! Like others, this didn't work for me to remove ads, but this forum totally helped.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/general/removing-lock-screen-ads-root-t3218946
Now, no more ads!Is this safe? Will my google account details be compromised?
This worked for me at first. I downloaded some games for my on and put it in my bag. Now it won't start up?
This worked for me. However, it failed the first time because I had already installed some of the APKs manually while trying to follow a different tutorial. To get this to work I had to factory reset my fire and then run the SuperTool script. I also ended up having to download the drivers directly from Google (windows 7). Thanks for the tutorial!
I was able to get everything installed. signed into google play, installed one app then went back into google play and it's stuck at choose an account. I tried reinstalling and adding a new account but it won't let me into the store.
I did everything and GooglePlay is up but the Ads on my home screen is still come on. I tried factory resetting it and re install it and it did it again. I did the same thing to another Fire and it worked. Do you know how I can fix this issuse..thanks
Hi Tina
I got the following error message
The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.
Any idea what this is?
Thanks
I had the same issue and the same error message. I gave up for a while after trying 3-4 times, downloading the program from other sites and trying a different protocol that ended up using the same driver - led to the same error message. Then, tonight, I figured what the heck and just went to the next step of trying to install the google store even though the first part hadn't been successful and it worked. I couldn't get rid of the ads, but the newest version of the rootjunky software says that requires rooting the device anyway and I don't want to do that. Might consider paying the $15 to get rid of the ads down the road, but not right yet.
I noticed this was for gen 5. Is there one for gen 4? I tried using the supertool for my gen 4 but it didn't work.
Yes, I just tried it and it works with the same tool. Just do the same process. And make sure you have the latest version (5.12).
I have the google play app shopping bag icon on my fire homescreen and was able to log into my google account. I got to the app section, bring up an app I want to download, click 'install' then click 'accept' but nothing happens. The app freezes and nothing gets downloaded to 'my apps.' When I log into google play on my computer to try to download the app it says that I haven't accessed the google play app from any devices. Any thoughts?
@Karin I had this issue as well, be sure you have enabled allowing the installation of apps from Unknown Sources in the Settings-Security- under Advanced on your tablet.
Nice step by step tutorial. I've run into an issue that it says I can't use the driver 'androidwinusb.inf' (the only .inf file in the usb_driver folder, which is the only thing it allows me to select) because it says that 'The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.' I see an androwedwinsusba64 file and a file called Kindle drivers, but it won't let me choose either of these when I'm in the device manager and trying to select drivers. Any suggestions?
I don't understand it because I used RootJunky's Supertool to install google play on a different kindle fire like 2 months ago on the same computer.
google play store showed up on the home page but it will not let me sign in keeps telling me there is a problem communicating with the google servers
attempted to sign in via browser same issue
Please excuse me if this is a stupid question, but could this be used for a fire phone?
Hello Tina! Thanks for you article. It seems to work very good.
I have two questions. First, Is there any chance to do this trick using a Mac connected to the Kindle? Second, Do you know if this trick works for a Kindle Fire 8,9 (2nd generation), 2012?
Thanks again!
Best
Wow! Thank you, worked without issues. Login via the browser and app without incidents. Great tutorial!
I don't know how it worked but I kept trying to install google play and finally I have it back. Thanks for your help!!!
If I install Google Play on the Fire Tablet, can I also watch and purchase movies from Google to watch offline? I am specifically interested in this tablet because of the price but would like to keep my movie library tied with Google.
I hate to keep asking questions, but I obviously am struggling with this. I got all to work then I had trouble signing in so I deleted play store app and google settings app. I reinstalled but now the 1st app step is failing just like what's listed on the screen above. When I turn it off and on again, play store is not there. Suggestions?
I finally got it but ads still appear. Any suggestions?
I just found out that Amazon offers an option to remove the ads for $15. Here are the simple steps:
1. Go to 'Manage Your Content and Devices' under 'Your Account' on Amazon's website.
2. Click 'Your Devices,' and under your Fire it will say 'Special Offers.' Click the edit link next to that.
3. Then you can unsubscribe from the special offers through that link.
I chose this option because the ads bothered me. I know it's an extra cost but to some like me it may we worthwhile. Hope this helps!
I downloaded drivers from another link. Now the super tools says it can't find the path specified. On the first screen it tells me to downgrade my device firmware. It gives a youtube link but when I type it in it says it can't be shown. Do I have to do this and how do I do this?
I downloaded the super tool file from root junky, but this appeared when I tried to get the adb files to download. It tells me to downgrade my device firmware by adb sideloading. Is this necessary ? How do I do this? I bought this kindle for a birthday present but want to get google play and ads deleted.
Thanks!
TeresaIs there a way to do this with a mac?
hello. I rooted my kindle fire 5gen. but when click on the play store it tell me to add a google account. i put in my google account log in but it saids COUNLDN'T SIGN IN (there was a problem communicating with google servers. Try again Later.
Can some one tell me whats going on? I put in the correct log in.
While this works for installing apps the first time, I have run into the 'update' failure. When trying to do an update that requires the play store, the Fire only opens the Amazon store so you cannot perform an update via the play store. My solution was to uninstall the app then reinstall it. What a pain, but it does work.
i used RJ to load the app store and remove ads. it loaded the app store fine and seems to working ok, but it did not remove the ad page. any ideas. if this has already been discussed i am sorry and cannot find the post. thank you
It initially worked for me when my version was 5.1.1 but once it updated to 5.1.2 the ads returned and I have had zero success in removing them.
I cannot seem to get ADB to work on Windows 10 x64. Halp!
I tried running the batch file (which has yellow text and looks NOTHING like the screenshots). It closes automatically. I tried manually installing the driver through Device Manager, but it says it's not compatible with a x64 OS.
Are there any clear-cut instructions out there for W10 x64???
Same problem. Solved it by disabling unsigned drivers enforcement windows 10 then running the adb drivers exe again after restart. Now I have GAPS. It didn't remove the ads though. A quick live chat with Amazon did though for free.
Use the following steps to disable driver signature enforcement.
Click the Start menu and select Settings.
Click Update and Security.
Click on Recovery.
Click Restart now under Advanced Startup.
Click Troubleshoot.
Click Advanced options.
Click Startup Settings.
Click on Restart.
Whoever suggested to use the browser sign it by clicking on the 3 dots THANK YOU. I kept getting a cant connect to google servers try again and tried this work around and it worked
At last, can login to Google Play using the Aptoide workaround.
1 Download Aptoide to Fire, from aptoide.com
2 From within Aptoide, install updated Google Play services
3 Try to log into Play Store. When it fails, click cancel and then 3-dot menu and select browser login. (May need to repeat this step).
4. Optionally, uninstall Aptoide once logged in to Play Store. Thanks for the workaround.
Doesn't work for me. What fire version are you using? With 5.1.3..nada.
is this after you do the adb driver stuff above?
Yes, it is. I finally got it to work just now using the steps above. After I updated Google Play Services through Aptoide, I was able to sign in without any issues. I didn't have to do the browser login. Thank you very much for the information!!
Used Aptoid and browser login workaround - a few errors on the way but installed and working!
Are you getting a google server error message?
I was trying to set up google play store in my friend's tablet, but when I tried to authenticate with her credentials in the Play store I was getting a said error message which I can't remember exactly what it was (sorry). I was sure that the username and password were ok because if I typed it wrong I was getting the bad password error message. So what I did?
I logged with My credentials, which have two factor authentication, so the play store redirected me to a page so I can type the autherntication code, in that page says something like 'Login with another account' so i clicked there, entered my friends credential and voila! it worked.
Sharing this so if one of you have this problem can try this to see if it resolves your problem.
I hope you could understand what I wrote.I installed Google Play Services from Rootjunky today and also have problem logging in to my Google Account initially. My workaround is to first update Google Play Services through Aptoide. Then open Google Play and log in with username and password. You should still have problem logging into your Google account but when you click the '3 dot' symbol at the top right corner, it should give you option to log in through your browser and this is how I did it. Hope this help :-)
Yes Smiley this worked for my kindle fire 5th gen :). Guys if u can't connect to google services use his method it works 100%!!
This method worked for me as well :). Thank you so much for sharing this tip, you saved so much effort for me!
And it worked. Thank you
Agh! I've tried this method and even sideloading apps onto the Fire, but I'm still getting the error message that it can't reach Google servers! Anybody else still stuck here?
I was able to install the Google Play Store on my Fire HD 8, but am running into the issues like some other viewers with not being able to connect to Google servers. I've rebooted tablet multiple times, I've reset the Play store app, deleted the data like that youtube video you linked said to do, but no luck, still can't 'sign in' to play store, can't even get authentication.
Anybody have any wisdom on this? I'd like to not resort to rooting the tablet, would rather just do this method. Feel like all the time and steps taken to get play store icon, and now can't even use it..pretty frustrating. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated!
Having same problem. There was an update to the tablet just as I first turned it on upon receiving it. I'm wondering if Amazon figured out how to stop this
Every time I try to sign into the Google Play Store, I get the error message saying something like, 'Google services cannot be reached. Try again later.' I followed the instructions above and tried several times but still couldn't get it to work. Has anyone else run into this problem?
I have the same message :(
Same here please can someone respond to this?
Yes, both my Amazon Fires now get the error reaching the google play store. Seems maybe something changed globally.
I am now encountering the seemingly famous DF-DFERH-01 error. Anyone have any success fixing this on the Amazon Fire? I've tried the go-to solution of force stopping, clearing cache and data, but even after restarting the error remains.
I've encountered a strange problem. My aunt and I have identical Kindle Fire 5th generation tablets. I've followed the directions for my Kindle and I downloaded Play Store and a game app. I followed the directions exactly the same on my aunts Kindle Fire and downloaded Play Store and tried to download the same app. The app downloaded and begin to install but as it tried to install it stopped and gave a 505 error. I tried deleting the devices cache for Play Store and Google services and tried again with the same results. Are then factory reset her Kindle with her permission and tried the whole process again with the same results. She mentioned that she had tried to install Play Store by other means previously but was not able to. Do you think that her failed attempts may have had consequences after the factory reset? Is there anything I haven't tried yet to install the Play Store on her identical Kindle Fire 5th generation?
i have found this method in several articles. My Problems begin at 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'. Once i click this, there is NO option that says 'have disc'. ive been trying several methods for hours. i ordered an Amazon Fire tablet for the sole purpose of running one app. I have since discovered thats its an Android app and perhaps the Fire was not the best choice. Frankly, im ready to just send it back. My the way, I have tried the 1MobileMarket' method, also with no success.
i had this problem, if you have the same list of items as me, i double clicked @media device' if i remember correctly and the Have disk option appeared. i hope this helped
When I get to the part of installing the driver, in Windows 10, I get a message 'The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.'
What did I miss? I disable the driver signature enforcement.
Nevermind. I found the driver and have successfully installed Google Play on my Fire. Thank you!!!
How did you manage to do this. I have the same message?
Did you see my latest post? I also couldn’t get the driver located in the SuperTool to work. There was another file one folder up from the SuperTool called Amazon-Fire-5th-Gen-Install-Play-Store.zip. I downloaded and unzipped it. There is a folder in there called usb_driver. I started over with the SuperTool and select the driver in that folder when prompted.
I am getting the exact same error. I disabled driver signature enforcement before starting.
I can navigate to the folder with the android_winusb.inf file, but then the error message above comes up when I try to proceed. Any suggestions of what else I should do?
Thank you
Hmm. After a few attempts I decided to try again from the beginning, and after running the supertool the option to install the driver didn't pop up, so I guess it somehow got through despite never seeing a successful message. From there I just ran the install google play option from the supertool and it appeared to work. Thanks for the instructions!
I also couldn't get the driver located in the SuperTool to work. There was another file one folder up from the SuperTool called Amazon-Fire-5th-Gen-Install-Play-Store.zip. I downloaded and unzipped it. There is a folder in there called usb_driver. I started over with the SuperTool and select the driver in that folder when prompted.
Awesome tool, it did work for me. Am running Windows 7 and things went pretty straight.
Well done. So, from the SuperTool menus, it looks like the ad disabling can only happen now if you root your device. I did all these steps above, and now have Google Play installed and working, but the ads are back on the lock screen.
help need to uninstall all this :(
hi guys, bought kindle today, orange, its on 5.1.3 Any ideas whether it can be rooted to install custom ROM, cant find clear instructions, and if not, is there a way just to get playstore etc. Any Help would be kind ?
When I try to update the driver, i go to have disk, choose the file, it says that the driver is not compatible with device. any help?
so i get ignored, thanks for the non help..
Everything worked successfully and I no longer have ads on the lock screen although when i go to quick switch between apps, there is small text that says 'Error inflating widget.', any ideas why?
Does this allow someone to download apps not in either google play or the amazon store? (other websites?)
getting the same error as jasmine on windows 10 disabled driver enforcement and adb debugging is enabled. what am i doing wrong? what is wrong with my compuuter
Everything installed easily, however after trying to restart the Fire, 'Opt out of interest based ads: in settings', restarting twice again, I still have ads on splash screen (Tide is repeated ad of choice currently). Have re-read article and do not think I am missing a step anyplace. '?'
I get this error message when I try to do the android win usb inf file: “The folder you specified doesn’t contain a compatible software driver for you device. if the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with windows for x64-bit systems”
I have Windows 7, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. :/ Any help?
I would not be surprised if you needed to turn off Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows 7 64-bit, too. The directions are different: reboot your computer and repeatedly press F8 before it gets to the Windows logo. You should get a menu, which you can then choose 'Disable Drive Signature Enforcement' using the arrow keys and press Enter.
'the folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for you device. if the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with windows for 32-bit systems'
I'm getting this error after i select the android_winusb.inf file. computer running windows 7. Any idea what i am doing wrong? This worked great for me!
Question: In the 'SuperTool' utility, I see there are also options to 'block/unblock OTA updates from Amazon.'I assume (or correct me) this pertains to any update Amazon may push out to users, which could potentially 'un-do' the changes made here to add Google Play Store, etc.?? If this is the case, do you recommend blocking the OTA updates?
I opened the AmazonFire5thGenSuperTool.zip file and it says C:UsersJonMasterDownloadsAmazonFire5thGenSuperTool.zip: Unexpected end of archive
4/5/16: Just installed, works great thanks!
WOW!! Thank you so much! It took a few tries to get it right as I am a tech virgin but I did it! SO this can be done by people who do not know much too LOL Thanks again I have one happy little boy!!
This works wonderfully on my wife's 5.1.1 Kindle Fire, but my grandson's in running 5.1.2.
How do I root an Amazon Kindle Fire 5th Generation running OS 5.1.2
Check out post #562:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/development/amazon-fire-5th-gen-supertool-root-t3272695/page57
Hello, i just wanted to ask what i did wrong. I followed the steps as best as i could, but when i got onto my kindle and opened google play, is said error RH-01 or something like that.
I got that same message just once, the very first time. When I opened the Play store again, all was fine. I think it had something to do with opening the store content before my login was completely authenticated, since it was obviously a login from a new device. That's just a guess, however.
Any help for a Mac user? Thanks.
I suspect the reason the ads are disabled for some and not for others is dependant on which of the two available tablets you bought. There is the standard on for 49.99. Amazon also offers one for 15.00 more that comes with ads disabled. If you didn't buy that one getting rid of the ads requires root
So.. On my Kindle Fire 7 (5th Generation) I did all of the above steps and I now have a tablet with Google Play Store but still have the adverts on the lock screen. When I do the same with my father's tablet, I lose the adverts on the lock screen but don't have the Google Play Store installed.
What am I doing wrong?
I definitely love this detailed guides lol, thank you! I did rooted and desable OTA updates with this method. I don't want Google play on this device, but one thing, I want to delete some stock apps I won't be using like; kindle, amazon shop etc. I already searched on Google and can't find any tip how to do it, any help will be appreciated.
I was able to install Google Play Store and get all Google stuff working. But the lockscreen ads are still showing up. I went in to the batch file and created a menu option *just* to kill the ads (pm hide com.amazon.kindle.kso) which ran fine, but the ads are still there.
Any ideas?
Didn't get rid of the ads for me but it did put Goggle Play on there.
Driver won't install- error message: The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. I have a x64 based system
it also mentions this process not only can be done without rooting but without the need for a pc yet further down the article it says you have to install drivers etc for windows and then use a windows pc for the files! sooo very confused
also this method doesn't work as I am stuck at the Fire 7 is not recognised by windows!
Instructions for Gen 3?
I'm a little confused. The article makes a point of saying this procedure can be done without rooting the Fire. Yet the video instructions are based on rooting the Fire. If you do everything in the article, do you root or not?
Anyone have the instructions for doing this with a 4th Gen Kindle Fire HD 7?
I have this tablet, and started with the Google apps, and no ads, then went to root, then went to Slip Rom. I have stayed at Slip Rom, and love it......
Amazon’s Fire tablets are on sale for some of their lowest prices ever as part of the company’s Prime Day sale which runs through the end of July 17th, 2018.
You can pick up a Fire 7 for as little as $30, a Fire HD 8 for $50 and up, and a Fire HD 10 for $100. You can save even more if you buy a 3-pack.
More details are available in our Prime Day deals roundup. But you might be wondering: what can I do with an Amazon Fire tablet? Well, that depends. Do you want to stick with officially supported features, or are you looking to do a little hacking to extend the functionality?
In a nutshell you can root the Amazon Fire HD 10, but not the latest Fire HD 8 or Fire 7 models. But you can install the Google Play Store and/or alternate app launchers on any of Amazon’s current tablets.
If you still need more info before deciding whether to spend a few bucks on an Amazon Fire tablet during Prime Day, read on for more details.
Out of the box you can use any of Amazon’s Fire tablets to surf the web using Amazon’s Silk web browser, read eBooks from the Kindle Store, stream videos from Amazon Video, and install apps and games from the Amazon Appstore, just to name a few possibilities. Recently Amazon also added hands-free Alexa voice support and the Fire HD lineup gained a “Show Mode” optionthat lets you use the tablets like a smart speaker-with-a-screen.
But there are still hundreds of thousands of Android apps that aren’t in the Amazon Appstore. And if you’ve already purchased apps for your Android phone or tablet from the Google Play Store, you’d have to pay again to buy them from Amazon even if they are available.
So as far as I’m concerned, one of the first things I look to do on an Amazon tablet is install the Play Store. But you may also want to go further and customize the look and feel of the device if you’re not a fan of Amazon’s default home screen and app launcher.
Fortunately, the folks at the xda-developers forum are on it. Here are some links to help get you started hacking Amazon’s tablets. Keep in mind that there’s always a chance you could damage your device by doing some of these things, so make sure to read all the instructions carefully before getting started.

This makes the hacker that sold you the jailbroken Fire Stick some extra money in the form of Bitcoin or Monero but eats your bandwidth. This causes constant buffering and also makes your Firestick overheat, so it drops offline often and wears out really fast.

I’ll show you how to use each to get your jailbroken Fire TV Stick set up just the way you like.

How to Jailbreak Firestick TV Tool 3: How to Use FileLinked (DroidAdmin) to Jailbreak Firestick
We’ve taught the installation of apps using manual downloads a few times here at My True Media. Now, we’re gonna introduce one of the simplest ways to install apps onto your Firestick. Only using the Amazon App Store is easier, but they don’t have what you want; we checked. You wouldn’t be here learning how to jailbreak a Firestick if they did.
FileLinked (recently renamed from DroidAdmin) is one of the easiest Android download and installation apps to use. It may work different to most apps of this sort, but the simplicity more than makes up for the unfamiliarity. You’ll not need to worry about bricking your Firestick when using the FileLinked (DroidAdmin) app.
Downloading and installing many Android app APK files at once using only a single short passcode is possible with the FileLinked (DroidAdmin) app. You’ll no longer need to type those annoyingly long URLs with a virtual keyboard for each download file. The process FileLinked (DroidAdmin) uses may take some getting used to. This is especially true if you’ve used other install methods described here on My True Media.
The FileLinked (DroidAdmin) APK doesn’t need special handling to install on your Firestick. You don’t need Google Play or to sideload it from a phone, tablet, or PC. These can have any number of files in them. The screenshot below may explain this better.

After finding a streaming app you want, click the download button. The file will download and give you the option to install it on your jailbroken Firestick TV. Click the downloaded APK to get an Android app installation screen. Click on install and the app loads onto your Firestick, ready for streaming. Many jailbreak Firestick apps exist right now, so pick and choose with caution. If curious about one, check with the community for safety info and opinions.

Keep track of the APK files that grab your interest. Also, jailbreak apps for Firestick come and go every day, so this list will come in handy later.
If that’s not enough, FileLinked (DroidAdmin) lets you make your very own APK store.
